MOODY JUDY by Curtis Dickman

MOODY JUDY

ACRYLIC ON PLEXIGLASS with LED backlights

24 x 20 x 1 in

The artwork is a vibrant and colorful portrait of my mother's face, rendered in an abstract, patchwork style. The face is divided into various sections with bold, contrasting colors such as purple, orange, green, blue, pink, and red. These colors create a dynamic mosaic effect, with distinct blocks and brushstrokes that are both textured and smooth. Features like the eyes, nose, and lips are clearly defined but stylized, with details like dots, lines, and patterns adding depth and interest. The hair is represented with bright shades of orange, green, and purple, decorated with small elements like a white flower and numbers "1," "2," and "3" scattered around. The overall composition combines elements of pop art and modern expressionism, resulting in a striking and emotionally engaging portrait.
The translucent canvas and LED backlighting create different moods as the colors change, creating a unique immersive art experience.
