Celebrating 13 Years on the HWY 62 Art Tours
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be returning for my 13th year on the HWY 62 Art Tours this October! This year, I’ll be joining artist Holly Rae Wind for three weekends as we welcome visitors to my pop up gallery at Stop #105 in Yucca Valley.
Over the years, the HWY 62 Art Tours have become a wonderful opportunity to share my work, meet fellow artists and art lovers, and invite people into the creative community of the high desert. I’m especially excited this year to share our gallery space with Holly and bring together two artists working in very different mediums.
My work, crystalline glazed porcelain ceramics, is created through a unique and unpredictable firing process in which crystals grow within the glaze during firing. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, with intricate patterns and formations that make every firing an exciting discovery.
Holly Rae Wind creates metal, textiles, and jewelry, incorporating rich textures, color, and dimensional elements into her work. Together, our artwork creates a beautiful and unexpected contrast that makes this a special stop along the tour.
