Born in 1939, Owen O'Meara lives in Centennial, Colorado. His photographic influences include Edward, Brett, and Kim Weston, Ruth Bernhard, Helmut Newton, Bill Brandt, and Edward Steichen. He also draws inspiration from Mozart, Toulouse-Lautrec, and the Northern California coast. His work spans 35 mm and 120 film, platinum printing, and digital photography. He cites Dominic Rouse’s The Philosopher’s Tomb: “Artmaking is the closest one can get to God without having to be good.”
