I used thick layers of paint to build texture across the flowers, clothing, and background. Some areas are smooth and carefully shaped, while others are raised and rough. The gold adds warmth and light, and the dark background helps the brighter colors stand out. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo because she turned her identity, emotions, and personal struggles into powerful art. To me, this piece is about becoming stronger while staying true to yourself. Like a flower blooming, growth can take time, and it can happen even during challenging moments.
