About the artist

Steven Maslach

In his 47 years as a glassmaker, Steve Maslach became unsatisfied by the predictability of color and light reflected from opaque surfaces. His current works utilize light, which is collected, filtered, and reflected to the viewer through his glass creations. Presenting an experience of light and color, Maslach's works continually change as lighting or the viewer's angle changes. He offers his work as a new direction in both glass and sculpture.
