As a musician, the COVID pandemic has cut off my ability to find avenues to express my artistic output. With live concerts cancelled, I was forced to explore ways to fulfill my desire to find artistic expression. My still life painting, Milk Jug and Tea Cup, represents my attempt to find an outlet during an exceptional time. The simplicity of the subject matter, allows me to appreciate that art can be found in multiple medium and that my journey as a violinist, can be expressed in multiple ways. In many respects, my painting states, “I’m Here,” even if I cannot perform on stage.

Como músico, la pandemia de COVID ha truncado mi capacidad de encontrar vías para expresar mi producción artística. Con la cancelación de los conciertos en directo, me vi obligado(a) a explorar formas de satisfacer mi deseo de encontrar una expresión artística. Mi pintura de naturaleza muerta, Jarra de leche y Taza de té, representa mi intento de encontrar una salida durante un tiempo excepcional. La simplicidad del tema me permite apreciar que el arte puede encontrarse en múltiples medios y que mi viaje como violinista puede expresarse de múltiples maneras. En muchos aspectos, mi pintura dice: I’m here(Estoy aquí), aunque no pueda actuar en el escenario.
