About the artist

Lupita Carrasco

Lupita Carrasco is an artist, wife, and mother of seven children. Her work revolves around survival, she sees art as an avenue for processing her measure of the human condition. These portraits are from her series of artists currently in Gaza, who have shared their stories and artwork with Lupita to share with audiences in the U.S.


Lupita Carrasco es una artista, esposa y madre de siete hijos. Su trabajo gira en torno a la supervivencia; ella ve al arte como una avenida para procesar su medición de la condición humana. Estos retratos son de una serie de artistas que se encuentran actualmente en Gaza, y que han compartido sus historias y su arte con Lupita para que los comparta con audiencias en los Estados Unidos.
