Kathy’s drawings have a peaceful, calming essence. She draws smooth, overlapping arcs with colored pencils by pivoting her lower arm from the elbow. She repeats this gesture over and over, building up areas of color. These drawings have great movement and rhythm. The lines seem to float in space like windblown clouds, resulting in work that is both ethereal and uplifting.
