Julie has been weaving for many years and the artwork she creates shows the influence of hand weaving in her use of color, texture, and pattern. She creates graphic geometric compositions of bold color using paper, felt, and fabric scraps. Julie enjoys puzzling together arrangements of small cut-out shapes, slowly arranging and rearranging the elements in varied combinations.
