Tony is a quiet, gentle person with a great sense of rhythm and movement in his art. He is well known for his harmonious abstract drawings that are pulsing with energy and color. He likes to work on paper that already has some marks on it, such as a drawing abandoned by another artist. Using colored pencils and pens, he reacts to what he sees, adding nested lines and highlights of color. His style of working is reminiscent of a jazz improviser, open and responsive. When he hears music he likes, Tony sways back and forth, snapping his fingers in time.
