Michael always makes a grand entrance at the art studio while loudly announcing, “I work here!”, a great motivation for his peers, who appreciate his jovial presence. Michael is nonetheless quiet and focused as he slowly and methodically builds his compositions of patched or stacked shapes using ink and colored pencil. Working from the center of the paper out, each small shape Is added to the next, making the web-like forms grow organically.
