Ann Sylvester is both a weaver and an artist. She “just loves to count", and particularly enjoys this process when it comes to weaving; she prefers weaving patterns that require keeping track of the math. Ann’s fascination with numbers is echoed in her artwork with accumulations of repetitive dots or marks that form abstract mounds, trails, and leaning stacks. Ann also has fun collecting and organizing stashes of small scraps and discards to use in collage such as hole punches, papers and bottle caps.
