David is on the quiet side, but turns up the volume when it comes to his expressive drawing techniques. His interests range from cars and trucks to nature to sports, and all of it shows up in his work as an artist. David tends to prefer a small scale as he studies his subject, usually based on imagery from photos or books, and his attentive focus is rewarded in minute and textured detail. As he works, he slowly builds up layers of ink, watercolor, or colored pencil. David's subjects vary, but he demonstrates a particular empathy when drawing animals.
