Toni Johnston is a very special resident at Cedars and has lived within this community for over 75 years. She has been drawing and painting her entire life, and appreciates how her work helps her “figure things out”. Toni's biggest source of inspiration is from the natural world and she is happiest outdoors in the fresh air, recalling her many years of horseback riding. Toni excels at painting the minutiae of textures found in nature as a result of practicing plein air painting as a young adult. Toni is a veteran weaver as well; she observes, " I love to see how the fiber colors blend when they are woven together."
