About the artist

Harold Boxer

Harold is becoming well known as an abstract painter. With his strong New York accent and jovial personality, Harold is a big, welcoming presence at Cedars Fine Art Studios. He has a natural flair for painting; his brushstrokes, often in the form of rows of X’s and O’s, are bold, his marks both casual and well-placed. Typically, he creates a pattern of marks and then lets the pattern change and shift and evolve, sometimes gradually, sometimes suddenly. This gives his brightly colored work an engaging element of surprise and warmth.
