Gabriela’s warmth and sense of humor are expressed in her tender drawings. She is an avid animal lover and represents her animals with lively, expressive faces and sometimes with jaunty patterning on their bodies. She invents charming narratives to go along with her drawings and has written and illustrated several picture books. She has also discovered a talent for sculpture, creating animated paper mache creatures enlivened by bold, whimsical painting.
