Earlier this year I went on an adventure into the middle of Australia with my family. One of the places that we visited will always have a special place in my heart. Gemtree Caravan Park has an abundance of wildlife, history and you can also go prospecting for my birthstone, garnet gemstones. I sat by my camper and captured this intimate view of two Australian Larrikins, pink and grey galahs, tussling over who gets the first drink from this ever dripping tap.It was a sight to behold and one I had to re create my own interpretation of using the layering techniques that I have been working with lately creating fullness of colour and visual depth to the work.This piece will add something special to any room.
