River Towns Plein Air event encompassed Columbia, Wrightsville and Marietta, all positioned on the mighty Susquehanna River. This bridge was the replacement for the covered bridge that spanned the river during the Civil War. It was burned by the citizens to block the Confederates from crossing into Lancaster County.
