About the artist

Alicia Alleyne

Alicia Alleyne is a Barbadian visual artist whose work primarily focuses on minimal abstraction. Her inspiration comes from a fascination with the minutiae of the patterns in the world around her, both natural and man-made.

Nearer Than Further:
“This series of work uses found images which I combine to explore visual connections and opposition. In these images I imagine, expose and impose the alien in our observed reality”.
