ABANDONED
An abandoned marina rests on its piling haunches
Unused, derelict, crumbling

No longer do people fish from its pier
The sound of children’s laughter
Echoing across long summer days has faded

And yet, a glow emanates from from this sad structure
Its dilapidated form displays a sentimental beauty
As if it holds memories
Of better times

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
This photograph of an abandoned marina on Carr Inlet, WA, USA, is available as a 16”x16” signed limited-edition print (printed on archival giclée paper), mounted to a backing board, and framed. Included with the framed print is the accompanying narrative (shown above), which is etched into a 3.5" x 5" black acrylic plaque. Both the print and the plaque have mounting hardware attached, making them ready to hang on your wall.

See this artwork's additional images for examples of the paired photograph and plaque.
