The Thermosphere series is characterized by the layering of saturated tones over luminescent colors, designed to create a strong sense of depth and an “invitation to participate in the paintings”. The works feature gentle transitions between colors, highlighting both tranquility and mystery, and aim to evoke a sense of sublime peace against the vastness of the cosmos.

Artistic Techniques

My approach in this series involves building up color through multiple transparent and saturated layers, which results in luminous, almost glowing surfaces that draw the viewer in. This technique not only creates atmospheric depth but also encourages engagement and contemplation.

Atmosphere and Mood

The paintings intentionally blur the boundaries between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to interpret the scene and lose themselves in the expanse and mystery suggested by the “thermosphere” theme. The gentle color transitions evoke calm and introspection, while the cosmic inspiration suggests vast and awe-inspiring forces at work.

Invitation to the Viewer

My goal is to invite the viewer to become part of the artwork—not just as an observer but as a participant immersed in color, light, and atmosphere. The series allows for personal interpretation, making each experience unique and engaging.
