A serene landscape features a winding river, lush greenery, and a hazy sky. Various shades of green and blue dominate the scene, suggesting a tranquil, natural environment. This painting was inspired by a blistering hot walk around River Bend Natural Area near Ft. Collins. The heat was nearly unbearable as the smoke from a nearby wildfire flattened the mid-day sunlight. I’ve attempted to capture the strange light in this small sketch.
