Vibrant strokes of blue and green create a lively landscape dominated by a snow-capped Colorado's Long's peak in the background, as viewed from a location in Loveland. A serene lake reflects the mountain sky, while a field of cottonwood trees adds a touch of color to the foreground. This was a quick palette knife, plein air capture using a knife due to rapidly changing conditions. Finishing touches were with a brush in the studio.
