These bright and cheerful “Fun Flowers” always makes us smile. The sunflowers are made using modular origami, where eight paper pinwheels are folded from uncut squares and combined into one design. Pinwheels are folded from paper squares, a design from ancient China where paper was invented. They were used in celebrations like the New Year to symbolize turning one’s luck around. Simple yet meaningful, this design may be one of the earliest examples of origami.
