As a son of an Italian descent, Jay is proud of his Italian heritage. he has dual US and Italian citizenship. he visits Italy as often as possible.
One of his favorite avocations is photography. He has never had lessons or training in photography, but has had a keen eye for composition since childhood. His first photograph was taken at age 10. Many of his photographs that line the walls ad halls of his office are shots taken in his travels to Italy and other exotic locations. He is the author and publisher of "Made You Look", a book of thought-provoking photographs. His photographs have been on exhibition in numerous galleries in Lafayette, and his photographs have won numerous awards in photographic competitions. A collector of fine art, Jay is active in arts organizations throughout Acadiana. He is past President off Acadiana Arts Council, and served on the board of the Performing Arts Society of Acadiana for several years.
