About the artist

Gracie Ransonet

Gracie Ransonet was born and raised in South Louisiana. She grew up in a small town called Loreauville. Gracie is a recent graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and hopes to start a career as a photographer. Ransonet graduated with a bachelor’s degree in New Media and Digital Art. Her work is a mixed media approach to film. Using photo, video, and 3D made environments, Gracie creates multiple scenes inserting herself into each environment.
She’s always been interested in photography. Ransonet would wander into the cane field next to her home and take photos of the plants with her phone in middle school. Gracie acquired her first camera in December of 2023. She continues to grow and learn by finding ways to show off the same areas in different lights with her photography. Ransonet hopes to one day travel the world with her camera documenting her view of the places she’ll go.
