Andrea Lane Ainsworth is a Louisiana-based contemporary artist whose paintings explore color and atmosphere. Her signature Sunwashed Abstracts are characterized by layered color, organic marks, subtle textures, and generous space, balancing simplicity with expressive movement.
Inspired by Mediterranean light, European architecture, nature, and everyday experiences, Andrea creates atmospheric abstracts, landscapes, figurative works, and tablescapes, united by an intuitive approach to color and composition.
Influenced by artists including Cy Twombly, Henri Matisse, and Mark Rothko, Andrea embraces experimentation, spontaneity, and restraint.
A former educator with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Andrea is now a full-time artist represented by Ria Leigh Gallery in Florida, and her work is represented for licensing by Wild Apple Graphics.
