"Old Fashioned Winter" is an enchanting piece rendered in colored pencil on black paper, measuring 11 x 14 inches. The scene captures a rustic cabin nestled in a serene winter landscape, meticulously detailed to evoke a sense of quiet isolation. The cabin, constructed with finely textured wooden logs, stands as the centerpiece, its roof heavily laden with pure, untouched snow.

Surrounding the cabin are dark, barren trees, rendered with delicate, fine lines that enhance the chilly and somber atmosphere of the composition. The stark contrast between the snow-covered ground and the dark foliage creates a captivating visual balance, drawing the viewer’s eye to the serene yet lonesome cabin.

The inspiration for this artwork came from an old abandoned house discovered on a snowy day, its desolate appearance stirring deep emotions and a desire to capture its essence. The black paper background adds depth and richness to the scene, making the snowy elements appear even more striking and the intricate details of the cabin and trees stand out vividly. "Old Fashioned Winter" beautifully encapsulates the quiet, serene essence of a rustic winter day, inviting viewers to a moment of reflective tranquility.
