Wiese ("Meadow") is a small-format oil on raw canvas capturing the quiet abundance of open grassland. Astrid Steingrueber's loose, expressive handling of the raw canvas surface lends the work an earthy, unrefined intimacy. A compact addition for collectors of contemporary landscape and botanical painting.
