This duo (Don't Give Up No1+No2) of small-scale works (30 x 20 cm) marks a special moment in my "Migrations" series. Moving away from ink, I used self-mixed dark carmine egg tempera to capture the essence of a shared journey.
The title, inspired by the iconic duet, reflects the invisible bond between two travelers. Migration is not just a feat of navigation; it is a feat of endurance. In the deep, organic vibration of the carmine red, you can feel the pulse of the flight—the encouragement one gives the other when the winds get tough.
