About the artist

Joshua Smith aka jdot_smith

Joshua Smith aka jdot_smith is a multidisciplinary artist that is not afraid of color, whether it be the color of his skin or the color of the paints, fabrics, and materials he uses in his work. With a religious background, art school, 4 collective years of architecture school, and a passion for graffiti/street art, Smith's work is diverse. Abstract portraiture, collages, hand painted fashion, and photography are all interconnected through his work. Including himself in work allows a safe space to create, explore social identity, and spirituality. Smith's work has the ability to transform and transcend the harsh realities through explosive color and ethereal landscapes.
