“As a body of artists, we embrace diversity, build community, and present publicly. In doing so, we are challenging mental health stigma, and demonstrating that people living with mental illness can achieve success in art and life. We also aim towards building personal leadership, encouraging individuality, and supporting one another in our lives and in recovery.” – The Collective Mission Statement

The Collective is the heart of ArtWorks, an Avivo program that supports artists living with mental illness. The art on display represents the thriving community of the ArtWorks Collective, whose members identify as artists first and foremost.
ArtWorks is located in Avivo's Community Support Program in Minneapolis – a community center where artists also have access to other social activities, health coaching, and support groups. It’s a holistic approach to overall wellness that Avivo values.
