It’s Time, Wake Up expresses the exhilaration of travel and celebrates the notion of movement as a profoundly transformative process. Undulating brushstrokes embody Gifford’s physical movement across the canvas while a field of blending dynamic forms depicts a state of change.

Working out of her studio in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, Gifford focuses her artmaking practice as a therapeutic and dynamic endeavor.

“Through movement, we shift from stagnant states to vibrant states, transcend the boundaries of our comfort zones, embrace the unknown, awaken dormant potentials, and reshape our perspectives,” says Gifford. “It is through the rhythm of movement that we connect with our innermost desires, push past obstacles, and cultivate a sense of empowerment and change.”
