Teacher: Michelle Vevante (2025-26 ARTEFFECT Ambassador)
School: Jericho Middle School, Jericho, New York, US

Excerpt from artist’s Impact Statement: "I incorporated many elements of symbolism. Since historically, pigeons represent messengers, I drew a pigeon flying off the canvas—representing how Bourke-White delivered a message to the world. It also represents how I want to help others learn about her story."
