About the artist

Jeanne Louise Drucklieb

Jeanne Louise Drucklieb was a New York based sculptor, active in the 1920's and 1930's, specialising in decorative bronzed pieces and is particularly known for her Art Deco bookends. Unusually for the time, she applied for and secured her own patents on a number of designs, which she then had produced and distributed by specialist US foundries including Hamilton of Ohio and Verona of Philadelphia.
