Her most recent body of work "SeaFlora" compositions—are ethereal arrangements combining seaweed and flowers. The elements are designed and photographed, floating and suspended in a water tank with soft box lighting. These ocean-gathered kelp and garden blooms invites viewers into a space of stillness and reflection. Each piece is an offering and moment in time: a way of honoring the ephemeral, of collaborating with the natural world, and of capturing the fleeting beauty in growth, decay, tide, and bloom.
Based between New York City and Lopez Island, WA (a remote, rural island in the Pacific Northwest), Amanda's work lives at the intersection of art and nature—part documentation, part pilgrimage, and part mysticism.
