Where the Currents Meet
24" × 18" × 2" | Textured fused glass
Where the Currents Meet is a dimensional Glasscapes piece built around movement, connection, and the way separate elements can come together to create something unexpected.
Layers of textured fused glass move outward from the center in sweeping forms of blue, white, gray, and gold. Fine linear details cross the surface, while three subtle gold circles create quiet points of light within the composition. The raised glass pieces cast delicate shadows across the surface, adding another layer of depth and movement that changes as the light in the room shifts.
There is also a personal detail woven into this piece: a small tattoo-inspired design appears as part of the composition. The geometric forms and lines of the tattoo became another visual element in the work, connecting the artwork to something much more personal.
Like many of my Glasscapes, this piece is meant to be discovered slowly. There are larger shapes that catch your attention first, but the smaller details, textures, shadows, and flashes of gold reveal themselves as you spend time with it.
A one-of-a-kind textured fused glass artwork created to reward a closer look.
