What We Bring Together
Glasscapes Series | 24" × 6" × 2"
What We Bring Together is a study in connection, contrast, and the unexpected relationships that happen when individual elements become part of something larger.
The warm, layered surface is built from textured fused glass, with small pieces of color and pattern gathered into a central composition. A transparent orange piece stands on edge through the design, adding another dimension and a strong vertical element. Its top is painted gold, while another piece of orange glass is draped across it, creating an especially interesting moment of depth and movement.
Look closely and you'll find a smaller composition tucked into the lower left—almost like a miniature version of the larger gathering. I love these quieter details because they give the piece something to discover over time.
The artwork is mounted on a white-painted wood panel, with a glass tattoo on the side that echoes a small part of the front design. It's a detail that's easy to miss from straight on, but adds another layer to the piece when viewed from the side.
What We Bring Together is about the way separate pieces can become more interesting, more dimensional, and more meaningful when they share the same space.
