The Long Conversation explores the quiet dialogue between structure and movement. A slender vertical axis anchors the composition while layered geometric forms appear to gather, shift, and respond to one another along its length.
Hand-cut glass elements in teal, blush, charcoal, and warm metallic tones are kiln-fused through multiple firings, creating dimensional relief and subtle shadow between layers. The soft aqua field surrounding the structure introduces a sense of open atmosphere, allowing the composition to feel both grounded and fluid.
The result is a vertical study in rhythm and connection—individual forms interacting across space, like fragments of a conversation unfolding over time.
I added a glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the wood panel which mimics the front and adds interest. This fused glass artwork is 24" x 6"x 2"and is ready to hang.
