Color District is a celebration of Mid-Century Modern design, where bold geometry, vibrant color, and clean lines come together in a playful architectural composition.
Handcrafted from layers of fused glass, the piece features translucent and opaque glass arranged into an abstract network of colorful forms that create depth, movement, and changing reflections as the light shifts throughout the day. A spacious center allows the surrounding color to breathe, giving the composition balance while inviting the eye to wander through the many overlapping shapes and textures.
Like many of my pieces, Color District includes small details that reward a closer look. A tiny heart is tucked into the composition as a quiet reminder that every neighborhood—and every home—is built through connection. Along the lower edge, three small red glass elements provide a subtle visual rhythm and balance within the design.
Mounted to the side of the artwork is one of my signature glass tattoos—a small, complementary fused glass piece created specifically for this artwork. Each tattoo is unique and serves as my artistic signature, making every piece instantly recognizable as part of my collection while adding another handcrafted detail for collectors to enjoy.
Mounted on a hand-painted wood panel, Color District is a one-of-a-kind fused glass artwork that brings a fresh Mid-Century Modern aesthetic to contemporary interiors.
