This is part of a new sculptural glass series entitled Refractions. The Refractions series explores the beauty found in contrast, reflection, and transformation. Layered fused glass, silver leaf, and sculptural textures interact with light to create ever-changing compositions that reveal new perspectives with every viewing.
This piece, "Burst" explores the unexpected beauty that can emerge from fractured moments. Layers of clear, white, black, and deep red fused glass are arranged into an expressive composition, then backed with genuine silver leaf, creating a mirrored surface that shifts and reflects light from every angle.
Mounted on a high-gloss resin-coated black panel and presented within a handcrafted matte black shadow frame accented by a vibrant red inner reveal, the piece combines sculptural depth with luminous reflections. Every layer invites closer inspection, revealing intricate details, textures, and changing perspectives as you move around it.
This one-of-a-kind artwork celebrates contrast—fragility and strength, transparency and reflection, chaos and balance. It is an original contemporary fused glass sculpture designed to become a striking focal point in any modern interior.
