A Quiet Orbit II
Glasscapes Series | 24" × 6" × 2"
There’s a quiet sense of movement in A Quiet Orbit II—a vertical line of light rising through a field of deep blue, soft turquoise, and warm golden yellow. Small architectural forms gather around the center, creating a kind of suspended landscape where lines, shapes, and color seem to find their own balance.
Three simple circles float near the top, like distant markers or points of reference against the open sky. A slender piece of transparent light gray glass, topped with gold, runs vertically through the composition, catching and reflecting light as you move around the piece.
I especially love the “glass tattoo”—a small, unexpected detail on the side of the panel that makes the artwork feel finished from every angle.
The piece is mounted on a clean white wood panel, giving the glass a crisp contemporary presentation while allowing the color, texture, and dimensional elements to stand on their own.
A Quiet Orbit II is part of my Glasscapes series of textured fused glass works exploring abstract landscapes, light, structure, and the spaces in between.
