A Quiet Crossing is a contemplative fused glass wall piece from my Glasscapes series, where color, line, texture, and dimensional glass come together to create a landscape of sorts—one that invites you to pause and look a little longer. Soft blues and translucent aqua tones create a calm, atmospheric field, while layered geometric elements move across the surface like fragments of a quiet journey. Delicate black lines extend beyond the glass forms, adding structure and movement without disturbing the sense of stillness. A distinctive detail of the Glasscapes series is the use of transparent glass placed on edge and painted gold on top. Here, the blue transparent glass catches the light along its edge, creating a beautiful shift in color and dimension as you move around the piece. And then there is the small glass tattoo on the side—a miniature echo of the artwork that reveals itself from a different perspective. A Quiet Crossing is designed to be appreciated not only straight on, but from the side as well.
