A Change in Direction

A Change in Direction is a bold, dimensional piece from my Glasscapes series, created with layers of fused glass, painted and textured surfaces, and a mix of geometric and organic forms.
The warm yellows, oranges, and greens create a shifting landscape across the surface, while raised glass elements and strong black lines add depth and movement. The composition feels like a collection of paths, intersections, and unexpected turns—each element connected, but moving in its own direction.
One of my favorite details is the glass tattoo along the side of the piece—a small, unexpected extension of the artwork that gives the piece something to discover when viewed from an angle.
A Change in Direction has a strong vertical presence while remaining surprisingly versatile. It can stand on its own as a statement piece or become part of a larger collection.
