Another in my "warrior" series. Sculpted CoLorField painting. Polyester fabric drenched in laytex paint, scrunched over a canvas, dried and then re-painted with oil. This piece represents a tree with a sparrow (actually photo by me of a wren) singing. Why yellow background? The sun is shining! Created and inspired by poem by beloved friend Cathy (Barber) Brenner: "The Sparrow."
Exhibited at Santa Rosa Ctr. for Arts (previously Chroma Gallery) 2019 and Corrick's Gifts (Preview Show for Art@the Source 2022)
