Dedicated to the beauty, power and passion of flamenco dance and to our local dance troupe ZORONGO FLAMENCO DANCE THEATRE and Susana di Palma who has inspired and directed countless performances.
Once upon a time long long ago I went to Spain in 1969. The atmosphere of the country remained with me and was part of my passion for Flamenco that was ignited in the 1980's and has remained with me. I feel fortunate to have drawn our local company ZORONGO FLAMENCO DANCE THEATRE in a number of venues and complex productions inspired by Susana di Palma. The passion and duende of flamenco always inspire vivid drawings and paintings for me.

Dedicated to drawing and painting the beauty of flowers.
Drawing and painting flowers is my happy place all year round. Even in winter I find the star gazer lily to be a constant and inspiring flower to draw and its evocative scent is mysterious and warming. I love all kinds of flowers: Lilacs, crocuses, tulips, and irises. Flowers of all kinds are an inspiration for me.

Dedicated to the lonesome and rich life I lived on Inisheer Aran Islands from 1975 to 1979.
I once lived in the cottage of the storyteller Joe Mairthain on the smallest of the Aran Islands for 3 1/2 years. The island Inisheer was 2 miles by 2 miles. I could easily walk to the back of the island in less than an hour. I lived in an old thatched cottage with no running water, electricity or plumbing. It was a simple existence amid the complexity of island life. While there I wove belts, drew and painted. I tried hard to be Catholic and went to mass every week. My mystical Jewish life was decades away. I look back on that experience now as a Storyteller. I would still like to publish my memoir of poems, essays, drawings and photographs.

Dedicated to the inner journey of my spiritual Jewish life and how I have used art to manifest my feelings and yearnings.
These images are selected from a larger body of Judaica that show the holidays and the various spiritual aspects of Jewish life that I have sought to depict.

Dedicated to the medium of Linoleum Block Print and how I was able to honor and love so many plants and flowers with this medium.
In the late 1980's I conceived this idea to carve a series of Linoleum Block Prints based on the plants and flowers of the Midwest. I set out to do 13 prints which I completed in the early 1990's. I did these prints in the summer. My late husband cut the 12" x 12" boards that I glued and mounted the linoleum on. I would draw the image directly on the linoleum and then let the block warm in the sun where I carved it. I carved all of these blocks out at the People's Farm Collective in rural Wisconsin. Printing the blocks came next and I have used Rice paper and collage papers for that.

Dedicated to the groups I am part of and the many meetings I have drawn through.
I am fortunate to belong to a number of groups of all kinds. Some are on Zoom but most are in person. My Interfaith Art Group,  Lola Artist group,  Vine Arts group, formally a collective farm group, Jewish Study group on Zoom, Jewish Mishnah Study group.

Dedicated to the beauty I experinced in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1992 and my subsequent journey to Gualdaljara in 2025.
These paintings are inspired by my 1992 journey to Mexico. The ancient culture and daily life of the people filled me with deep images that I painted from for years upon my return home.

Dedicated to my brother Wallace and his vulnerability and Courage as he navigates his medical and creative life.
These selection of drawings document my journey over the decades with my brother W who suffers from mental illness and Parkinsons. As well as drawing through every appointment and hospitalization I have drawn our many times playing Scrabble and the creative life we have shared. Wallace draws everyday and has had a prolific painting life.
I am honored to care and nurture him.

Dedicated to the beauty, passion and culture of opera as inspired by my mother Emily's devotion to it.
These drawings are a tribute to my late mother Emily who grew up in Vienna, Austria where she found a life long love of Opera. She said "We didn't have Religion! We had Opera!"

Dedicated to the Joy and Beauty of painting on silk for the last 38 years.
I have been painting on Silk for over 35 years. It is a delicate, senstive spiritual medium that lends itself well to colorful floral themes, precise geometric configurations and loose Flamenco images.
