Created as a personal commission for Ivan and Amanda, this painting was designed to live gently above the heart of their home. Inspired by their wildflower wedding and the life they've built with their daughter Anna, the piece weaves together elements that feel both meaningful and quietly symbolic. A filed of soft wildflowers stretches into the distance, grounded by a winding path, suggesting both journey and memory. Sunflowers rise in the foreground intentionally turned as if glancing back over their shoulder echoing the natural movement of the room itself, where one might pause and look toward the light filled windows and the peaceful pond beyond. A butterfly rests within the scene, a delicate and personal detail requested by the family. What made this piece especially meaningful was the collaborative process: standing in their home, studying the space, and shaping the composition so that it doesn't just hang on the wall but belongs to it. The painting reflects not only a landscape, but a way of living connected, reflective and full and full of quiet beauty. A certain degree of magnificence lives in spaces like this where art, memory and home meet.
