What Cannot be contained

What Cannot Be Contained
Oil on linen
From the What the Light Held series.

This piece grew from an image of branches stretched past their limit—fruit swelling beyond what the branch can carry. It speaks to seasons when love, memory, and fullness press against what can be carried, spilling into a future beyond control. Bold outlines and bordered color capture both the beauty and the ache, pointing to the gift that though not everything can be contained, what overflows is still gathered and held by light.
