This mural cycle evokes the coastal landscape and cultural atmosphere of the Basque region through a series of stylized figures set within sweeping architectural arches and seascapes. Soft bands of blue sky and sea frame contemplative figures who appear suspended between interior and exterior spaces, suggesting reflection, memory, and the rhythm of coastal life. The simplified forms and muted palette create a calm, almost dreamlike environment in which architecture, landscape, and the human figure merge. Through these scenes, Wood-Thomas transforms the room into an immersive setting inspired by Basque light, shoreline, and tradition.
