Untitled (French Poster Composition)
Intaglio Etching on Paper

Combining the elegance of the reclining nude with fragmented French-inspired typography, this etching explores the relationship between image, language, and memory. Scattered words, numbers, and poster-like lettering become graphic elements rather than literal text, creating a composition that echoes the visual culture of mid-century Paris and the experiments of European modernism. Through delicate intaglio lines and layered forms, Alan Wood-Thomas transforms the printed page into a poetic meditation on the human figure, where text and image exist in quiet dialogue.
